Best Ever Chocolate Cookie Cake

Ingredients

-1 box Duncan HInes Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake

-1 1/2 cups sour cream

-1/2 cup vegetable oil

-2 eggs

-1/2 cup water

-1/2 cup cocoa

-12-14 chocolate sandwich cookies -to be crushed

-4 chocolate sandwich cookies not crushed-for decoraion

-1 cup chocolate chips

Frosting:

-2 sticks of softened butter

-4 cups confectioners sugar

-1-2 Tablespoons whipping cream

-1 t vanilla

Baking Instructions:

1- Preheat oven to 350

2- Grease 2 8 inch round cake pans

3- crush sandwich cookies and place cookies and chocolate chips in freezer

4- mix together cake mix and cocoa

5- Add sour cream, oil, eggs, and water.

6- Beat with mixer until mixed.

7- Batter will be thick. Fold in chocolate chips.

8- Spread batter into greased pans.

9- Drop frozen cookies pieces on top of cake batter.

10- Bake between 30 - 35 minutes or until middle is set.

11- Let cakes cool completely.

12- Prepare Frosting and Transfer Cakes onto cake platter top side down.

13- Spread frosting on top of one cake layer, then add more sandwich cookie                                                                 crumbs, top with other cake layer.    

14- Frost entire cake, sprinkling with remaining cookie crumbs.
